Looking For Recipes!!
I am looking for recipes where one doesn't have to use the oven. With this summer heat and cost of running the AC we need some new ideas. Julie, you might have a few. I will also research some on line and post when found. Thanks!
I'll be on the lookout. That's a good thought though! The only thing that comes to mind right now is sandwhiches and tacos/taco salad... but I'm sure you've already thought about it. Hmmm...
Boil chicken in the morning, place in the fridge, and then cut it up and use it for a big salad at dinner time- the chicken makes it more filling. I used romaine lettuce, brocolli, carrotts, cucumbers, tomatoes, cheese, crutons, and chicken. Serve it with french bread and your favorite salad dressing.
I would also recommend Kim's Homemade Sloppy Joe recipe- it is dang good!!! You could make it in the morning and then warm it up in the microwave at dinner time. We ate them with a salad. Also, I found that our crock-pot didn't heat up our place too much- taco soup or bbq chicken are my favorites!
Thought we needed a place to share those great recipes we come across. More importantly, I thought we needed a place to find new recipes to add to our dinner schedules!!!
